LANGUAGES DEPARTMENT
It consists of English and Kiswahili languages.
Kiswahili is taught by: Mr. Murithii, Mr. Ngari& Mr.
Macharia while English is taught by Mrs. Rukungu, Mrs. Kamoche and Mrs.
Kariuki.
The performance of the two subjects has been fairly good in
KCSE. There have been years of improvement and others of decline. All in all
the performance of English has risen from a D+ to a c+ in a span of nine years
that is 2005-2013 while that of Kiswahili in a span of five years has risen
from a C- to a C.
The department is still aspiring higher and in line with that,
students have been impressed upon to importance of using this two languages as
a medium of communication in school. The tuition area has been designated as an
English speaking zone from Monday to Thursday while Kiswahili days are from
Friday to Sunday.
Language is the backbone of communication in Life.
