Humanities Department

HUMANITEIS DEPARTMENT
It comprises of three main subjects, Geography is under the able hands of Mrs. Isaak Kimani, Mr. Muriithi and Mr. Njogu. History is under the Principal Mr. Kiigu, Mrs. Mwangi and Mr. Ngari. C.R.E is under Mrs. Mercy Waithero, Mrs. Mwangi and also the Principal. The three subjects are performed well year after year, last year (2013) they all registered an improvement, led by Geo. that shot up by almost two points (m.s.s). However there is still room for improvement particular in History, which did not register good quality grades A’s and A-, as it used to perform in the previous years. It’s our hope that the lost glory in History and humanities in general will be reclaimed back. Long live humanities department.

MUSIC CLUB
We have a vibrant music club, which has been doing well year after year. For the last three years that group managed to take students to the regional level. This year 2014, we took a group of 43 students to Nyahururu high school for the class 313 C ‘Uzalendo’. It was ranked no seven overall. At the county level several items performed very well led by the ‘choral’ Hosea the drunkard who deserves to be dumped into the sea since he had outlined his usefulness. The author was the patron Mr. Ngari. Other items also performed well and were awarded certificates. It’s our hope that next season we shall sail to the national. The club is led by Mr. Ngari assisted by Miss Harriet Wambui.
C.A. MOVEMENT
C.A. movement is another very vibrant Christian association for the  catholic members. It pays visit to the needy homes and school twice annually. In every April and September. As a tradition we have been visiting Kandara children home for the orphans and Kirunguru Special school for the mentally challenged.
During lent period we always travel for the retreat to the resurrection garden for devotion purposes. We are looking forward to visiting Subukia retreat centre.  God willing next year, 2015. Annually we organize for a C.A rally where we invite other schools to worship with us. Lastly at the end of every year we have the leavers party where we combine with C.U to bid farewell to the candidates. We have managed to have so many students to embrace their faith fully by organizing masses and ceremonies for baptism, confirmation to mention but a few. Its our hope the movement will continue expanding its wings year after another. The movement is under the patronage of Mr. Ngari C. N. and Stephen Ndung’u.
Long live C.A.
